At Mighty Wash, our success is powered by the people behind the scenes who live out our values every day. This month, we’re excited to shine our Employee Spotlight on Lester Young, Regional Manager for the Permian Basin.
Lester’s journey with Mighty Wash began over eight years ago when a friend encouraged him to try out a temp position. From his very first interview, Lester had one goal in mind: growth. “The first question I asked was, Can I grow here?” he recalls. The answer was yes—and he’s been proving it ever since.
Starting with one of the most humble roles—drying cars—Lester worked his way up through dedication, consistency, and a positive attitude. Today, as Regional Manager, he sees his role as much more than operations. For him, it’s about mentorship and culture:
“To me, it means being able to mentor others who are seeking growth in their lives—whether personal or professional. It’s not just about them growing, but me growing alongside them.”
Lester’s leadership style is rooted in positivity. He makes it a point to leave personal worries at home and show up every day with a smile, setting the tone for his team. His passion is clear: creating the best customer experience possible.
“Every time a customer pulls up, we want them to feel welcome, cared for, and appreciated. We want them to know we value not just their car, but them as people.”
Lester is also deeply involved in the community, often bringing employees with him to serve and connect with local groups. He credits Mighty Wash for helping him grow not only as a leader but also as a husband, church leader, and member of the community.
“Mighty Wash has made me a better man, a better husband, and a better team member. I used to be shy, but now I can stand up and speak at church, lead youth group, and even preach sermons.”
From his early days on the wash lot to leading an entire region, Lester Young’s story is a powerful reminder of what’s possible when hard work meets opportunity. His growth reflects the very heart of Mighty Wash: teamwork, positivity, and a commitment to both customers and community.
